D-D Aqua-Pro Reef 1800 Tank & Framed Cabinet

The D-D Aqua-Pro Reef 1800 is a premium sump-based marine aquarium designed to provide an expansive display and plenty of flexibility for creating an impressive home reef. Its 180cm length and 60cm depth offer excellent scope for aquascaping, while the 56cm height provides a large viewing area without making maintenance overly difficult.

Aquarium Features

The 180 × 60 × 56cm display aquarium is manufactured from ultra-clear, low-iron glass with fully polished edges, black silicone joints and a clean, braceless design.

A central black-glass ‘invisible’ weir blends discreetly into the rear of the aquarium, helping to maintain an unobstructed view from three sides. The removable D-D UltraFlow weir comb allows increased water flow, while the twin-pipe overflow system and gate valve provide quiet, precisely controlled operation.

The aquarium also includes a black vinyl background, pre-fitted base mat and a split directional return pipe supplied with flare nozzle and random-flow generator options.

Cabinet Features

The matching cabinet is manufactured in the UK and supplied fully assembled. Its sleek, handle-free design features push-to-open doors, fully adjustable soft-close hinges and quick-release doors for easy access during maintenance.

Large rear openings provide plenty of space for pipework and cables while improving ventilation and helping to reduce moisture build-up inside the cabinet.

AquaFrame Features

The 1800 is supplied with D-D’s AquaFrame cabinet, which uses a corrosion-resistant aircraft-grade aluminium frame secured with custom stainless-steel brackets and industrial-strength fittings.

The cabinet includes adjustable feet for accurate levelling, a fully waterproof baseboard and a slide-out divider panel for greater flexibility when arranging equipment. The outer cabinet panels can also be changed independently, allowing the appearance of the aquarium to be updated without replacing the complete cabinet.

Sump Features

The Aqua-Pro Reef 1800 includes a 6mm glass, three-chamber sump designed to provide flexible space for reef filtration equipment.

The first two chambers can accommodate equipment such as a protein skimmer, media reactors or calcium reactor, or one can be used as a refugium. A dedicated return-pump chamber completes the sump layout.

The sump is ClariSea SK3000 and SK5000-ready, allowing a compatible fleece filter to be installed without modifying the pipework. An optional removable filter-sock holder is also available when ordering.

Unlike the smaller models, the 1800 features a separate 47-litre freshwater top-up reservoir which sits neatly alongside the sump.
